Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge

Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge is one of the most beautiful and unique national wildlife refuges in Texas. Located in the lower Rio Grande Valley, it is home to more than 400 bird species and other animals.

It is a major breeding and wintering area for migratory birds such as the spectacularly colorful green jays, northern parulas and black-throated green warblers. The refuge also provides a safe place for a wide range of raptors, including the rare hook-billed kite and gray hawk. Learn more here in San Juan, TX.
